Chan Oi Ying 陳靄凝
A graduate of the Department of Fine Arts at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Oi-Ying specialized in calligraphy during her three-year undergraduate program, mentored by Professor Tong Kam-tang. Proficient in all five major scripts—Seal, Clerical, Regular, Running, and Cursive—Oi-Ying has received the Outstanding Student Award and the Chinese Calligraphy Creation Award.
Over the past four years, she has regularly traveled to Japan to pursue advanced studies in Japanese modern calligraphy, mentored by Amano Hekison, a Standing Director of the Keiseikai and a judging member of the Mainichi Shodo Exhibition. With 13 years of dedication to calligraphy, she is now a full-time professional calligrapher who actively promotes the art form through solo exhibitions.
In 2025, Oi-Ying held a joint exhibition with Inoue Yuichi in Taipei. Her work is also held in the permanent collection of the 460-year-old Kenkō-ji Temple in Japan, where the head priest is the internationally acclaimed Zen garden master, Shunmyō Masuno.
陳靄凝畢業於香港中文大學藝術系,三年學士期間深造書法藝術,精通篆、隸、楷、行、草五種書體,曾獲優異生獎及中國書法創作獎。大學及畢業作品指導老師為唐錦騰教授。陳氏過去四年定期遠赴日本深造日本現代書法,師從天野碧邨老師(現任奎星會常任理事及每日書道展審査會員)。陳氏研習書法至今已達十三年,全職投入書法專業,並積極舉辦個人展覽推廣書藝。2025年,於台北寶吉祥藝術中心與井上有一合辦雙展。作品亦被日本擁有460年歷史的建功寺所收藏,現任住持為國際著名枯山水大師枡野俊明先生。
